Green paws slowly dragged along the grassy field. Her tail wagged slowly from side to side lazily. Her coat was a thick shiny black. Her face had two marks, sort of like triangles; one on each cheek. The large black at stood as tall as a wolf. Her right eye was a stunning green, but the other was brown. Her name? Naomi. Naomi's right ear flicked and she stopped walking, looking over her shoulder.
I thought i heard something... She thought to herself, then looked infront of her again. She continued walking another while, then sat down near a little creek.

Shenna lifted her head silently, the tall grass reaching the bottom of her jaw. The grass grew in extrodinary lengths here, and even though was big, she had to stand fully to come away from the long staks. Her snout was covered in the red blood of a large deer-type creature she had just killed, and the sound of aproaching feet had sent her in a fit to defend her kill.
Her eyes scanned the prarie, and she finally saw a large cat striding toward her. Curious as to how a cat could come to be of such size, she relaxed slightly so that the cat would have a chance of aproaching. Not many creatures would have the guts to aproach a dragon eating a fresh kill, but maybe this cat would be different. A cat, after all, was a lot like a dragon. Not in size or shape, no, but in manerism. Shenna could respect a cat's independance, and their aloof outlook on the world.
Knowing that the cat could not miss her mottled green and brown form, Shenna resumed her eating, her mind silently ticking the seconds away untill the cat arrived.

Naomi's tail was rapped around her, the tip of her tail flicked slightly. She just sat there, and looked around. Snap! She heard something, it wasn't too far away. Her ears perked up and she got up quickly. She looked around as the slight breeze carried the scent of something that smelled that a dear, and another beast. The scent was new to her, so she was curious. It didn't show, but she was a tiny bit frightened. She looked around for where the scent could be coming from, her ears still perked up.
Almost 45 meters away, she spotted what she had been looking for. She remembered something. Her mother used to tell her a lot of story's in her early childhood, this creature sounded a lot like what her mother called a 'dragon'. She wondered how she couldn't of have seen it when she walked there.
Naomi looked at it curiously.

Sencing being watched, Shenna rose her head again, sighting the cat. It reamined a cautious distance, but Shenna was not in the mood to hurt it. She really could use the company. Raising her voise slightly, but keeping it even an low, she said,
"I dont bite you know. Wait, actually, let me rephrase that. I wont bite you ya know..." Her neck was raised high, but even so, she wanted to see the cat better, so she rose up onto her haunches, her forelegs in the air. "Are you hungry?" She asked. It was not often that she shared a meal, and she was not sure what had caused her sudden generocity. But nonetheless, it had happened. This was one lucky cat.

Naomi liked at the dragon as it spoke, and blinked a couple times. "Pshh...! I can catch my own meal" She said. Ya, she was a snob. She sat down once again and licked her paw. She then leaned down to drink out of the creek. Ya, right...! She thought

Shenna raised an eyebrow slightly at the cat. Decideing that the feline was really not worth getting angry at, because of the inncolence and utter naivete in speaking to a dragon in that tone, Shenna bent down and swallowed the rest of the carcass whole, unhinging her jaw like a snake to evelope the rest. She did not have to do that, and prefered to savor the meal, but she wanted the meal gone so the cat would not have a chance of going back on her word. Then, calmly, she turned to the feline, a slight smile playing on the corners of her snout. "Do you really think that any prey would be around here, considering that I have just made a kill and spread my scent around? In doing so I scared away any chance you had of getting a meal for at least three miles in every direction. Sorry, but that was your only chance to eat for a while. But maybe your tougher that that...?" She said, sarcasm dripping from the very soul of the last sentace.

Shenna glared at the cat, her piercing eyes studdying every detail of the feline.
"You, my tiny feline friend, had better watch it. I dont know if you noticed, but the deer I just killed was almost twice your size, and I concidered it a small meal." She finished her threat by bursting smoke out of her two nostrils, and letting thin tendrils escape from her jaw. She blew out slightly, burning the grass between them to a blackened crisp. By just heating it with the smoke, she had managed to not set the entire prairie on fire. It was a skill perfected by any willing dragon.
Her inital generosity toward the cat had turned to an instant dislike, and she felt her temper rising within her, just waiting to be set of by one insollent word by the cat.
