History~ optionalBefore he was born there was a prophecy made about him that he and his cousin would become closer then brothers and together form a new government and the younger of the two would be King. They were to be born exactly one hour apart, a minute before the new year. Both were to be sapphire-eyed, and golden haired, and tall, both would grow to be handsome.
However, when Peregrine was born he was dark-haired and green eyed. He was born a minute later then predicted, and his cousin Peter a full 26 hourse later. As time went on, Peregrine and Peter were night and day, Peter was a typical Alexander, golden haired, and sapphired eyed. Peregrine was not. The two boys disliked each other from the beginning and don't get along to this day. Because Peter was the on who the prophecy described most and because he was the young of the two and thought to become King, Peregrine's uncle and aunt and parents favored him above Peregrine.
At age 7, Peregrine wandered away from his family who all looked the same, like Peter, and met a 17-year-old girl, Elinor Orceno. She claimed to call herself a Silmaril Knight. Peregrine was intrgued because he knew his grandfather was a Silmaril Knight himself once. Elinor told the young boy that she would teach him to become a knight himself as long as he promised to keep it a secret. Peregrine agreed and began his 6-year-long training as a Piage and later a Squire.
Then, when Peregrine was about to turn 12, his horse foundered and had to be put down. A shadow came over the boy's face, and his cousin Peter tanted him endlessly over the loss of his horse. then Elinor invited her Squire, Peregrine to come with her to a horse fair. Peregrine half-heartedly agreed. At the horse fair, he saw a black 2-year-old stallion being whipped mercilessly by his handlers. The horse was being exhibited in a competition the inhabitants of Erroterra held every year. A competition where a crazy, untamed horse was held out and the people got a chance to ride it. If they manged to ride the horse without falling off, they won the animal, free off charge. Peregrine them stepped foward and volenteered to ride the horse. After a few bucks, the horse meracliously calmed under Peregrine and became rightfully hhis. Peregrine named him Vollo.
Just over a year later, Peregrine set sail on Elinor's ship, the Phantom, with Shasta Orceno, Diamond Hawk and the knight she was apprenticed to. Elinor captained the voyage with a large, able-bodied crew. This was the first attempt to hunt down and kill the Tyrant King. At the end of the voyage, in a sea-battle with one of the Tyrant King's ships, the Knight Diamond was apprenticed to, Tristan, was killed by a woman warrior of the Tyrant King's. Peregrine later found out that Tristan was Elinor's fiance. In a desparate act of sorrow, frustration, and anger and a feeling of failure in herself, Elinor made Peregrine a Silmaril Knight a year before planned. Then she gave up being a Silmaril Knight herself. Where she is now, no one knows.
Peregrine returned home a knight. He promptly knighted Shasta, who immediately went off to a univeristy as he was two years older then Peregrine. He also knighted Diamond, though she stayed by her friend's side. It seemed as if Peregrine's group of true Silmaril Knights was falling apart. Until...
One day there was a cry of "Thief, Thief!" from thee nearby bread-seller's booth. There was a masked thief was running away with a loaf of bread in his hand. Peregrine and Diamond jumped one their horses and chased him. The thief jumped onto his own horse and fled. Both followed him closely, and eventiually Diamond got lost on a separate track. Peregrine chased the thief into dead end. Immediately the cornered thief drew his sword and dueled with Peregrine....Peregrine won, but the thief was extremely skilled with his blade. At his request and after some congolling, the thief removed his mask to reaveal that he was a young boy of 13. Peregrine took pity on him and, instead of handing him to the authorities, Peregrine made the orphaned thief his Squire. In time, Will Skip, the thief of yesterday, became one of Peregrine's greatest friends.
At age 15, Peregrine left to go to a magic school to be better educated on how to beat the Tyrant King and the army of terror. There is found his lost aunt, Khalida Alexander, and later the girl who would become his fiance, Raver Odin. After the school moved, Peregrine, having received his education, came home and set out looking for the ancient school of his great ancestor, Diana Orceno. He found it, and cleaned it up and set it up for students again with the help of Raver Odin.
