Name: Maurus Brucaius
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Speicies: Human
Sub-species: Man
Weapons: Two long swords with golden handles.
Appearance: Maurus gets his name from his dark, copper tanned skin.He is a large man; braod shouldered and tall, standing at nearly six and a half feet. He is lean but not thin, muscles well toned, can be seen flexing smoothly as he uses them, under his skin. These muscles are relfections on his endurance and incredible strength.
Maurus's head is shaved so not a single stray hair ruptures its smoothed surface and so that the colors of the sun may be reflected dully on it. He believes that having his head shaved brings him power over his enemies for then they could not take his hair if ever he was defeated. They may take his head, but the stench of its rotting flesh would force them to get rid of it and thus, their right to boast shall be demolished.
On his right arm, below the elbow, one can see the black tattoo of a snake wrapping itself around him, its head ending just before his wrist joint. This tattoo was first branded on him and then inked upon his skin so that he may prove his strength. Not only that, Mauraus believes that the serpent brings the gifts of cleverness and cunning to those who wear it, and thus an incredible force field of luck. The serpent has it's mouth open wide with its fangs showing fully marked on him. For many who have met him, they know that the snake stands for himself, whose fangs that hold deadly poison invoke fear into the eyes of his enemies.
In battle, Maurus weas gold tinted metal armor that covers his body. The only parts of him not encased by this armour is his head, hands, and his feet, which are fitted with soles and hard leather shoes.
During day outside of truoble some fights, however, Maurus looks like the adverage Tarantarian man, fitted with black breaches and a beige canvas shirt that has its sleeves cut off at the seems. on top of this canvas shirt, Maurus wheres a dark leather vest that in turn, is overlayed with a sword belt that comes across his right shoulder and round his waist, holding two swords on the left side and bearing the seal of the serpent in gold in the near center. Maurus also owns a dark cloak though rarely wheres it unless in the evenings or when traveling.
Personality: Maurus has his mind set on the future. A future of power and strength- of innovation and of architecture. His ideas reach to the far ends of Tarantara to unite all humans together and to bring a golden age to the land. He has dreams to fill Tarantara with trade posts and beautifully designed cities, molded by great artists and protected in rings of great fortress walls. He dreams of an economy like one Tarantara had never seen- a time of wealth for the people and an unresolved peace. His dreams scope largely into the mists of uncertainty, but he is determined to bring all this to Tarantara- even if he must gain co-operation by force.
Maurus is a strict almost brutal man. He has little patience or pity. To him, what is done is done and so the consequences must follow. Law is the greatest form of his order. He believes that enforcing them with great discipline is necessary.
Maurus has very little respect for changlings. He finds them repulsing and a disgrace to human and nature and feels that they are below all other races on the pedistool of imperial order, thinking their purpose would be better served serving others.
Though his views are somewhat harsh, his visions may open a door to a mighty and powerful future.
Other~ I may add more later. ^^
