Arthur walked into the hall of the ampitheatre in his silver plate armour, with his sword by his sword and his shield on his back. By all reasons he was ready for battle.
He reached up and grabbed a silver railing, pulling himself up onto a platform and bellowed out in a voice as loud as he could.
"I'm in the mood for a good tournament, for a good fight. Anybody who would face me in close-combat step forward and let us duel! For the spectators feel free to make bets upon the outcome if it is what you desire!"
He let his voice settle and waited for a response...
ooc: Obviously, I'll need the staff to watch over the fight, and only make a decision on who wins if we can't figure it out ourselves... the usual drill. And if you want to make bets on who will win, please do
More than one person can join if they want, but you'll have to be quick

Shannette stepped into the ampitheater. She did not really enjoy fighting too much on a whole, but for this, she would make an exeption. She needed to know how to fight and besides, she had her own armour to protect her in close combat and she needed to know how to use it.
"I'll try to make it worth while." she replied. She took a quick trot around the man and turned from her human form into a deer. She had four hoof bands strapped tightly around each slender leg. It was a way that she could fight with the same damage a buck with a rack of antlers could inflict.

Will you fight as a deer, or as a human with a sword and armour? Arthur asked quickly, seeing her transform around him. He knew how to fight with a sword, and he had heard that Shannette was new to swordsmanship... maybe he could teach her a few things... maybe.
"Or will you fighting as both?" He wasn't actually sure if that was possible, but he threw the question out anyway...

"I would fight as a human with a sword, but as you can see I have the misfortune of not owning one." Shannette stood in front of him in her deer form. "How can I fight you with a sword and armour if I own niether?" She gave a smile. "Perhaps some other time, when I have a sword under my belt- unless, of course you have two and would lend one to me?"

Arthur nodded, "Of course. There are always a broad selection of swords in the armoury." He walked out and returned quickly with a thin, longsword in a sheath in his hand, and some light, full-body length ringmail draped across his arm.
"Try these on, my queen. The sword is thin, so it should match your physique, and fighting style..."

Shannette looked at the mail disapprovingly but slipped it on anyway. It was rather heavy. She did not like it. She grabbed her sword and unsheathed it quickly and turned to face him. "I have never fought with a sword before." she said. She let the sword hang loosly in her hand. It too was surprisingly heavy.

"I'm sure I could show you how, although it won't neccesarily be a tournament then I guess, but I don't care. It isn't my place to bruise a queen anyway." he added with a slight bow. "The ringmail is the lightest I could find there. It doesn't take long to get used to the weight, but it takes a long time to stay agile with it."
"The sword is rather light for its design, and its as thin as you can get it while keeping it practical for parrying..." Arthur stepped back to inspect that she was wearing the mail right, which she was.
"You can still back out if you don't want to do this my queen..."
