Arthur walked into the familiar hollowed out ship of the local merchant, and now with an almost bursting purse he had a few items which he wanted to get. Although he was uncertain of prices so he was not sure how much he would be able to get.
"Good morning merchant," he said to the man behind the counter. "I'm in the mood to buy some of your wares today." He pulled a parchment out of his puch and showed it to the merchant.
It was a list of a few things prioritised in order. All it basically said was that the Lord Commander needed a gallant war horse, a new lance and some new plating for his armour and shield, preferably of dragon hide origin.
"Do you have these in stock? And if so how much would each cost me?"

"Ah, Lord Montford, always a pleasure. Oh, good, you have a list this time." The Merchant grabbed the list with his meaty hands and looked it over. "Lets see here...a warhorse, a lance and dragonhide armor..Im asuming you want the armour to match your cloak, so let me see." He went to the back room for a second, rumaging around. When he returned, he had a piece of parchment clasped in his hands and set it on the table. He then wheeled out an entirly clad, dragon armoured, manikin. "I have found all but the lance, but I will double check that in a second. This armour was made from one of the offsprings of the dragon whos scales cover your cloak. And as for the warhorses, you have some choises. But first things first; will this armor suffice?" OOC: Sorry, bad post

Arthur walked over to the armour and studied its surface. It was pure white like his cloak and he could faintly make out where the dragon scales had been hammered and forged into place, the minutely faint outlines snaking their way across the plate. He took a step back, from a distance you couldn't even tell that it was scales, it just looked like a clean, white steel. "It is very aesthetically pleasing," he said absent-mindedly to the merchant as he continued looking at it. He ran a finger along the edges of the plate. There was slight padding inside for comfort, but he would be wearing ringmail underneath that, so it wouldn't be too neccesary.
"Let me see if it fits," he said to the merchant and started taking off his own steel platemail. It took him all of ten minutes to get fully changed into the full suit of armour. It fit very snuggly and the Lord Commander was impressed with the fit. Seeing as how he was a rather average sized man for these days, slightly taller though.
"The armour will definately do," he said to the merchant. "And I'm assuming that I can sell you this normal armour I have to you as I have no more use of it now." He picked up the steel armour. It was battered from use but still quite regal looking.
"Now. a warhorse," He looked at the parchment, assuming that a list of breeds would be on it...

"A war horse?? Fully trained I presume?" The merchant trundled behind the counter and fumbled with a thin stack of paper in the back room, the sound of turning leaflets coming out. "Ahah.... let me see... we have a few...." "I have two potential horses for you. Unfortunately they are stallions..." His eyes flitted to de' Montford. He had a mare too, but she was used to carring things.. not fighting.. "The first here is only 1,500.. a good price for a stallion... A little bit young yet and not finished with basic training.. yet.." He handed the parchment to De' Montford. Name: unnamed Age: 1 Year Gender: Stallion Status: Purebred Breed: Hungarian Warmblood Coloration: Palamino Hight: 16 and a half hands Training Status: Trained: No Strength:8 Endurance:7 Speed:7 Intelligence:4 Temper:10[for a visual] "And.." he passed De Montford another parchment. " There's this one... newly arrived. He has a bit of temperment but he is the best horse I've seen so far... I'm selling him for five thousand... I is a bit pricey..." Name:Borileus Age: 3.5 years old Gender: Stallion Status: Purebred Breed:Spanish Norman Coloration: Solid Black Hieght: 17 h.h Training Status: Trained: Yes Strength:9 Endurance:8 Speed:6 Intelligence:8 Temper:3 [for visual]

Arthur looked at the parchments, and he immediately knew which one he would take. "Borileus is it?" He looked again at the stallion. It was a powerful and fast horse, and from his experience, the Lord Commander knew that it was the ones with a temper that are more willing to stay on course against a tough situation. Like a wall of pikes? he thought to himself.
"Five thousand you said?" That was pricy, even for a horse such as this one. But bartering was common on sales such as this. He still had to buy this armour and a lance on top of it all. Arthur looked again at the parchment, "I think three and three quarters thousand would be more reasonable."
ooc: That picture of Borileus looks really awesome!

ooC: I know! I found it like a week ago and I wanted to post it up, but I couldn't because I did not have internet up on my computer for a while and I had to use my mom's.. But yes... IT is pretty cool. Not only that, this type of horse was pretty much the standard war horse... I found a couple more, but I am too lazy to post them up. XD
The merchant put his grubby fingers together. To say the least, he was a greedy man no matter the fact that he was honest and knowledgable. Everything he gave came with a price in exchange and if he could get it, a high price.
" I say 4000. " he said shortly and quickly. He knew that the man would win with lower terms than he wished, but he would try to get as much out of him as he could before selling the beast.

Arthur looked again at the warhorse on the parchment, in deep thought. He waited a minute in silence but eventually surrendered to the merchant's revised price. "Alright, four thousand. However you will throw in complete riding gear, including saddle and everything with this Borileus."
Arthur rested the parchment on the table. "I will need a strong lance to use with him as well. Preferably a half-lance so I can use it on foot as well." He rapped his fingers on the counter. "I'd like to see Borileus if you may."
