Arthur walked into the hull of ship. The entire side of it had opened up and was now like a ramp onto the docks. He walked onto it, and into the depths of the ship. Clothing and armour hung from the walls, there were swords, axes, shields, bows and any other form of weapon you could think of in plaques on desks and behind the counter. Jars and bottles of various liquids lined the benches and somewhere above the rafters he could hear the sound of snorting horses and barking dogs, but he wasn't here for them... not yet anyway.
"Hello?" Arthur called into the store, seeing no-one at the counter at the moment. He was wearing some light travelling chain-mail, silver with the symbol of Men emblazoned across a deep blue outer robe. The robe was sleeveless and it had a high collar. "I am here to purchase a cloak! Where is the store owner?"

The Merchand walked up to de Montford, nodding his slightly balded head. He smiled warmly, and greeted him with a slight bow. "Welcome, welcome. I own this ship, and I would gladly give you a cloak. What were you thinking of? A nice long green one perhaps?" He gestured to a sturdy emerald traveling cloak "Or perhaps this red one? Its very royal..." He began to open several crates, and cloak upon cloak began pouring out onto the counter.

Arthur looked at the cloaks the Merchant was bringing out, and although they were elaborately made, they weren't what he was looking for."Actually, I'm looking for something a little more sturdy. Something which offers more protection, especially against fire."
De Montford peered into the trunk, "I'm looking for an armoured cloak made of Dragon Hide. Dyed white preferrably if its possible. I'll have my symbol embroidered onto it personally." He waited to see what the merchant's response would be. Dragon-hide was one of the rarest materials around, but it offerred unparralleled armour...

The merchant gave Arthur a huge grin. "I see you have an eye for the rare. Then I do have what you are looking for." He dissapeared into the back for a minute then returned with a pure white cloak, floor length and beatifully made.
"It's not cheap, I tell you that, but it will last a lifetime. It is compleatly impeverous to the fire from the dragon it came from, and more resistant to dragon fire than anything else. It is compleatly resistant to regular or bewitched fire. I will let you have it for 1,000 gold. What do you say?" He gave de Montford a sly grin, holding the cloak before him.

Arthur eyed the cloak with satisfied eyes. The cloak was everything he had wanted. It was pure white along its entire length and would easily cover his entire body right down to his feet. It had a decent hood to it and trimming along its length.
There was just something about it though, at first glance it looked like an ordinary cloak, but upon closer inspection it had a stiff outer texture appearance to it, and the faintest score marks of scales were engraved into it, which had been rethread over. It was definately of dragon-hide.
Arthur took the large purse out of his belt and pulled out a few pouched of coins. He then turned the purse upside down on the counter and ten puches of gold coins fell onto the wood with a slight thudding sound. With a smile he put the remaining coins back into his purse and eyed the cloak greedily.
"1,000 gold coins, counted and recorded. In exchange for that fine cloak there," Arthur said happily as he extended his hand towards the Merchant...

The merchant grasped Arthur's hand and shook it heartily. "Very nice perchase, you will definatly not regreat this one. And please do come back. I enjoy doing buisness with you." The Merchant let his hand drop and smiled again at Arthur.
The boat rocked gently with the waves, and a faint sea breeze managed to find itself withn the hull. The Merchant began to pack all the sloaks back into their boxes, and put them back into the storeroom; in which he too dissapeared.

Arthur returned the Merchants hand shake with a slight uncomfortability. Shaking hands wasn't something that lords usually did with peasants, but he was willing to let this one slide after the amazing deal he had just recieved.
When the cloak was put into his hands it was heavier than a normal cloak, and as he put in on, he could feel the weight on his shoulders, and it truly made him feel like it was offering excellent protection. He fastened it around his neck using a silver brooch in the shape of a man-made shield.
He turned and walked out of the ship, and down the ramp, feeling much more regal in his new attire...
