Tashur stood on the cliff, letting the gentle sea breeze whip through his thick hair. The occasional sprey of sea water drifted up, catching the sun's reys as it hit his dark skin. He let out a long sigh, thinking about what he was going to do for the day. He had several hours before nightfall, and he could not work during the day. Vyry was a small town, and the only possible...clients....would come out when it got dark. He could pickpocket if he wanted to, but he was a con-man, and above such petty theft for the moment.
What he really needed was a group of travellers, preferably some nieve lord or something. Those were the best people to con; they were rich, and easy. But Vyry was probably to small for that. It only had two inns, and neither were very suitable for royalty. He would have to make d with the small clientel tonight.

Frada was walking with her long blond hair down and blowing in the wind. Occasionally she looked back but saw no one else following, but she knew he was still there...lurking in the bushes. Frada did not have an tasks to complete at the moment, but the crocotta was still always there to make sure she did not do anything that would She was walking as close to the sea as possible to feel the spray of the salty waters as it hit the rocky shore. Suddenly she stopped as her eyes caught movement just a head. It was a human. Bitting her lip Frada looked around for a place to hide but she was in plain view.

Tashur turned around at the sound of footprints. His eyes rested on a girl, dressed in black leather. Her long hair was blowing in the wind and she seemed to be looking behind her a lot, like someone being followed. Curious, Tashur started foreward, and the girl saw him, and froze. Showing that he meant her no harm, he held out his opened hands. His sword was in its hilt, and his blowpipe was hidden away, where it was not in plain sight.
"Hello," He said casually. She looked rathur nervous, so he took the iniciative and walked over to her.
"Is something the matter?" Tash would like to believe that it was not concern that had propted the question, he would have liked to believe that he was only being friendly to benifit himself by creating a potential job, but something about this girl told him he was wrong. There was something in her eyes that made him want to help her, and besides, he did not see a money puch anywhere on her. That meant one of two things; either she knew eough about theft to hide her purse because she was a rogue herself, or she knew to hide it because she was an official of the law. Either way, he had to be caustious.

Frada took a step back as he came over as she continued to bite her lip. Hesitantly she looked back again. She knew the beast would not attack unless she got to close to someone, but Frada could not help but look back. When her eyes came back to the man Frada swiftly looked for weapons but only saw a sword. Maybe this man was not a threat to her... Frada looked at her feet but did not reply to the greetings.

Cunfusion took hold of Tashur. Why would this woman not respond? He tried again, "Are you in trouble? Do you need some help?" Maybe she had not heard him. But his folloow-up again recieved no answer. Maybe she could not speak. He tried another question, this time in a softer voice.
"Can you not speak?" If it was true, sorrow pained at his heart. His whole career depended on his cajoling voice, he could not imagine life without being abole to speak. Maybe this girl was just nervous....

Frada looked up at him in surprise. How could he have guessed so easily? Normally people got mad at her before realizing. They always thought she was trying to insult them before thinking any other reasons through. Even more hesitantly she nodded, fighting the urge to look back again.
Frada wondered if she should leave. Though by his clothing he did not appear to be a lord or anything close to that status, so what harm could he do? If she were to disappear and leave a lord or one of high power could send word of her description across the land, but one lower could not... Even though she thought this man would be of no harm, her years of training kept a hand near her sword.

Tashur nodded his head. "I am truly sorry. I don't know how you lost your voise, but I hope someday that you find it, so I can hear your tale. I'm Tashur, by the way. Tashur Dangeau, of Mylithia. I don't live there though. I don't really live anywhere. I have a thing for traveling." He smiled at her and looked at her own worn boots. "It seems you take to the road yourself."
The sun still shone brightly, but it was sinking lower and lower into the sky. Another hour or so and he would scope out the inn. He had a few coins left in his pocket, and an idea formed in his head. If this girl was being followed and seekedrefuge, she would do better in the inn. If she wasn't, she could easily decline.
"If you're hungry, the Inn of the Sprey has a decent meal. I was going to head there anyway and I could always use some company. Even if it is silent company." He grinned again, showing he was still being friendly. "And, because this Inn isn't the err...the most repectable inn, so you don't have to check your weapons." He eyed her hand that was resting on the hilt of her weapon, and he knew that she would be more compterable with it.

Frada was a little taken aback at the kindness the man was showing her but managed to keep a face without emotion. The wind blew strands of hair into her face but Frada brushed them away without a moments thought.
She glanced back behind her again then back to the man. Frada really did like staying at an inn compared to the woods. Lurid never followed her where he would be seen. Frada thought of how the Crocotta was planning on punishing her tonight for failing to kill the man of her last task and winced slightly. The creatures teeth were very sharp and were it not for the healing ointment she had been taught to make Frada would have many scars to show it. Slowly she nodded again.

Tash nodded. "Very well then, it's just down this bluff." He waved his hand for her to follow and strode into the small town. The Inn had a rusty sign that was swaying in the breeze, creaking slightly. Making sure that she was still following him, he opened the wide door and entered the bar.
There was a few people there, and they looked up as Tash and his follower entered. finding nothing of intrest in them, and seeing the large knife in his belt and the sword in hers, they returned to their meals. Tash walked up to an empty table and sat down, waiting for her to join him.

Again Frada was hesitant but in the end sat at the opposite end of the table. She made a quick glance at the strangers around her but saw none who appeared to be a threat...at the moment anyways. Frada looked at Tashur Dangeau with a slightly tilted head. Her eyes were filled with confusion on what she should do next. She was very used to buying food and drink then leaving to her room and not staying to linger around the many men that allways filled the pubs of the inns she entered.

A barmaid came up to the table and with a slight drawl, asked what they wanted. Tashur looked across the table, then decided that it was best that he ordered for her. There wasn't much of an option anyway. "We'll have the, um, special." He said. The barmaid turned to the girl across him, and asked, "That okay for you honey?" Knowing that she would only cast her eyes downward, Tashur intersepted the maid. "My companion has had a hard day, and she has seen things that you could never even imagine. She is not in the mood for idle chit-chat. She will have what I am having. Also, we would like two mugs of ale." His tone had changed from friendly, to slightly assertive. Not mean, but it was the kind of voise that the barmaid obeyed without question. She scurried away to get their meals. Tash watched her go, and then he turned to his companion. "I still need to know your name...hmmm, can you write?" He inquired, hoping that she could. He copuld not just keep thinking of her as 'The Girl" or "That Woman".

Frada had gone the brightest of red at being called "honey" but knowing it was for the best she looked at her feet so that the barmaid, or her dinner dinner companion, would not see her face. She had always been told that emotions would be her downfall, but this action she could not help it. She looked up only when he asked if she could write. Frada glanced around, knowing that women were not supposed to know how to write, but they were not supposed to carry a sword either, so she let her self nod. Without being told to do so she brought out an ill made book. It was not the best of quality at all, but it served its purpose. The paper was very ruff, making it hard to write with out splotching the ink, but before long she had her name written out. Frada Kaelyn. Normally only those she knew were about to die would she let them know her name but for this case she was uncaring. This man appeared to be nothing but curious.

Tash smiled to himself. Now they could comunicate, and now he knew her name. "Frada. That's a nice name, I've never heard it before," He sat back in his chair and looked out the grungy window. The sun was setting, the firey orange burning across the cobbled ports. After a few minutes of silence, the barmaid came back, bearing their food and drink. The meal turned out to be a bowl of soup and some course bread. Tash took a sip of the ale, which was not that good, but it did the job. His thirst was soon quenched. He turned back to Frada, hoping that the food was at least passable to her. He had no idea what kind of food she was used to, but if it was anything like what he ate, this so-so meal was good enough.
OOC: This thread needs something exciting to happen, do want them to get in a barfight or something of the sorts?

Frada made an act of swishing her soup around when was actually smelling it. She knew the types of poisons that could kill a person, and could sometimes even smell them in food. Satisfied she ate with out complaint. It was allot different than the types of soups made where she was from but she did not mind it.
Frada glanced up at Tashur only occasionally then was quick to lower her eyes. Frada hated herself for the way she weary that everyone she met was going to kill her, it left no room for comfort. Even if it did save her life from time to time.
((I was actually thinking the same thing...would you like to start the fight off? Or I could. Anything would be ok.))

Tash ate his food quickly, and was just sitting back in his chair when the door opened. He looked up to see who it was, and at first he couldn't believe his eyes. Three men had entered, and they just happened to be the same trio that he had ripped off in Nitance. Great,he thought this is just what I need right now. I hope they dont recognise me. His table was in the corner, and the firelight was flickering, so there was a good chance that they would not see him. But he was wrong. One of the men looked in his direction, and recognition clicked in his eyes. He whispered to his fellows and the three came over two Tash and Frada.
The first one glared at Tash, his eyes narrowed. "You..." He said in a dangerously low voise. Tash decided to play it cool in hopes that they would feel mistaken. This usually didn't work, but it would at least stall them long enough to figure out his next move.
"I'm sorry, do know you?" He said in a polite and slightly confused voise. The man just nodded his head, but his second companion turned to Tash, rage building up in his voise. "We want our money back! We stood at the pier for four hours and got beat up by the filthy scum that owned the ship!" He lunged foreward and grabbed the front of Tash's shirt. "Your going to give us back that gold, or we're going to beat you so close to death that the light at the end of the tunnel will be blinding your vision!"
"Look, sir, I have no idea what you are talking about, I have never seen you in my lif-" Before Tash even finished his sentance he swung his leg aroung to the back of the other man's knee, knocking him flat on the ground. The other two men jumped toward him, but Tash swung his fist toward the first man, landing him a blow to the nose. Blood spattered, and at this point, the innkeeper noticed, and ran over to them, holding a wooden cutting board and brandishing it like a maul. Tash ducked as the keeper swung his board, and it just missed his head, but at that moment, the man he had knocked down, lunged at Tash, pinning him to the wall.
OOC: I guess I'll start it
