Vardian soared over the crystal waters and hovered up over one of the banks, landing on a high cliffface looking out over the lake. The day was fading, and the sun was already low in the sky. A slight overcast riddled the horizon with dark clouds, and Vardian knew that a storm would be coming soon.
His wings settled snugly along his back and he scanned the skies, knowing that the Dragon Lord would be here somewhere. Dragon's always knew it when something invaded their territory, and Vardian was well within this lord's.
"Where are you?" he spoke softly to the clouds... waiting...

A figure popped out of the clouds. The puffy gifts to the sky were swept away by his speed. Lakieth's magnificent wings beat once then he shot forward. His shadow soared over the ground below him. His follower was bigger on the land given how close he was to the sun. The sun.. It's beautiful rays beat down upon his metallic scales. They shimmered, giving him the look of power and grace.
His keen eye site scanned for the dragon he felt intruding his lands. He wasn't here to be rude like some may be, he was here from curiousness and it was his duty to protect the lands. He was sure this creature would have no harm, so he flew here to meet him.
The sun was now lowered to the peek of the mountains. His shadow now soared ahead of him, almost challenging him to a race. A lake came into view. He knew exactly where he was. The sun's light barely arrived to the water, bouncing off the surface like a skipping rock. But as the sun lowered, it became a dark pit. The moon was already up but faded. The sun's rays weren't yet touching the moon's lands. The moon and sun were so mysterious. The dragon thought they were the givers of light. They guided anyone through the darkness of times.
Finally, an angel came into view, huddled on a small cliff that stood over the darkness of the water. Showing he meant no harm, he gave a magnifacent roar to the sky, the land, and the angel. His voice was so distinct, anyone could tell it was his roar.

Vardian looked up and saw the dragon coming out of the clouds. He wondered whether he should wait for it to come to him, but quickly dismissed the idea as the deep roar of the beast reverberated around the lake.
He spread his wings and took to the air, racing to where the lord of beasts was in the sky. He wasn't sure which sense the dragon relied most on, so he shone a little to show the dragon where he was.
It didn't take too long until he was nearing the dragon in the sky and he brought himself to a hover in front of its head. "Lakeith of the Dragons," he said. "Or Lord Lakeith as I should now call you," he added with a bow in the midair, his wings still beating steadily beside him. "It is excellent that you have managed to attain such a rank among the beasts, you have my respect..."

Lakieth bowed down to the angel. "I thank you for your approval," he smiled, his wings beating quickly. Let us bring ourselves to the lake. i am feeling rather thirsty," he said, still smiling through sharp teeth. Before he bent down to soar towards the lake, he asked, "What is your name, Angel?"
The sun was now lowered, beautiful colors sketched across the sy, highlighted the clouds. The rays would return again in the coming day. There was no wind. It was a perfect day and many more would come... hopefully..

Vardian rolled in the air and dived down alongside the dragon, keeping pace with the huge beast well. "My name is Vardian Custodio my lord, and I found you thanks to the Selkie Cheiftainess. She seems to know you well..."
He pulled up along the water and flitted across it before landing lightly in the sand, his wings folding along his back and he stood up straight again, turning back towards the dragon. "But unfortunately our meeting will not be on good terms, for I bring harsh news about the fate of this realm."
He had already told the Selkie queen this news, but he had to let Lakeith know as well, "I am afraidn that the realms are no longer safe my lord. There are forces on the outskirts of the world that are slowly brewing, and soon... very soon, they will be ready to strike. And I do not believe that I will have the strength to fight it on my own." He looked out over towards the horizon where the storm was fast approaching. he could already see the small flashes looming ominously far away, but he could not hear the thunder yet.
"The beasts will not be able to sit idly by in this war which is coming my lord. That is a fact. And I'm sorry that I cannot offer more guidance than this. Be ready for anything..."

Lakieth drove down towards the lake and landed, the ground vibrated as he did so.
Lakieth gave a nod with his head. "I have been preparing my life for the coming tragedies. There is no way for us to avoid war.." His voice trailed off as it got softer. He looked up to the heavens and saw what it brought them. "Please take no offense, Vardian, but the humans have been uncontrollably attacking the creatures. There is no one to blame, but the humans have carried on the task that was once decided by no one knows who. My plan was to stop this war, but seeing that the rage of the land cracks at our anger, it drives us further. I know we have all played our parts in this raging battle. And i admit I have carried on death's plan..." He paused and continued, "Is there any news of Ceriden's biddings?"
A drizzle had now started to tumble down from the sky. The lake rippled madly, but it still looked peaceful. The sand darkened as the drops seeped through the space the grains give. Few trees stood around the, but lakieth was loving the feeling of being rinsed off.
The wind picked up, licking at his face. The rain had no plans for its speed and size. It dropped down from the skies as Lakieth had. Lakieth understood their purpose. All things in life occurred because there was a cause. Life was one big loop, always showing different emotions. Was war part of this giant loop? Was war meant to be? For there always seemed to be something to quarrel about.

Vardian listened to the dragon's words closely, deciphering meaning from the deep, rumbling voice. Dragon's were one of the few creatures which did not gawk at the sight of an angel, and he had respect for that fact.
"Yes, the humans are expanding on their natural position. Although they were given the will and power to do it, they must discover for themselves the folly of their ways, And in due time... they will."
"Death's plan is everywhere, we all carry it. Even myself now that I am mortal."
Vardian shook his wings in the rain, he was unaffected by the cold, but the water was heavy and he shifted the weight off them. "Ceriden is going to keep on the lookout for this shadow, and she is going to prepare where she can, but we all know the Selkie's are not a war clan. However, yours, Lakeith, has more power than any other force in the realm, greater even then the Men. And I believe that you know this."
"Before the end, you'll have to throw away your dislikes of the other races. Because, in time, all of them will turn to you for help. It will happen, though I do not know when or how..."

Lakieth looked up to the heavens. The tiny droplets of the sky's life fell upon his face, trickling down his metallic scales. They brought out the color of his body. The metallic seemed to have been forgotten as the drops meandered down his chin. Bright blue and green colors were replaced, cleansed by the rain. Clouds drove in, sending strikes of lightning closer. Thunder boomed over head. It's sound was carried out across the land, soaking it with noise. Bright snaps of golden color broke through the clouds again. The rain seemed to be angered by their intrusion and burst out wailing. The skies tears shattered as they pierced the dirt. Rain drops dove into the lake's water, sending small ripples to lap the border of land and liquid.
Lakieth looked back down. "Even life itself is angered and no one would ever know why." He paused and continued, "It looks as though it is our time to soar above the clouds. We do not want to get caught in this quarrel of liquid, light and sound." He smiled, hoping Vardian's wings weren't being disturbed. "I'm not an expert on feathers," he continued again, "Will your wings be okay in the rain? Or must they dry.." He left the sentence hanging, hinting for Vardian to carry on with his question.
Rain still pattered down. The clouds enveloped the sky. Above the fight of the storm, the sun shone brightly. The clouds were very low, entering the environment carefree as to what anything thinks. The sun's rays tried to extend towards the land, but it was left out. It couldn't stop the fight of the elements. The wind and rain rammed into each other in mid air. No sun was there to dry off the splattered drops. The clouds were too thick for the sun to pass through for a while.
Lakieth thought of being once again in the sun's reach, flying above the scene of lightning. It would be a great view, but if Vardian's wings couldn't handle the rain, then it would be best to find shelter.

Vardian shook off the rain again from his wings. They were soaking through now that the falling water was thickening. He looked up to the clouds and his eyes shone slightly. The rain around him seemed to part as soon as it reached him, and he was now standing in a dry dome of air.
"Yes, we should get above the storm. I feel more comfotable in flight these days." It gave Vardian the feeling that he could survery the world, and if something happened, he would know. He lost that feeling on the ground.
Vardian spread his wings and leapt into the air, the clear dome following him as he moved and expanded so that his wings spread wide were still encased in the protective shield. He hovered above the beast and looked down at him breifly. "Try to keep up Lord of the Beasts." And with that he turned in the air and shot upwards through the rain...

Lakieth laughed at the comment. "Oh I will," he said, voice muffled with the booming thunder. He too was better at flight. His shorter legs were horrible for running. They ares till fast compared to a man. But a man on a creature...
His wings swooped in a circle, raining down more water. Few flaps had taken him him through the clouds. He shot looks around, wondering if the heavens would decide to strike him with lightning any moment. He concentrated on soaring through and hitting the warmth of the sun's rays. It would still be foggy up higher, but much warm and by far safer. Being in aboce the puffs of beauty would block their view of the land. They would not know where they were going. Just fly onward, past the lightning and then we'll be safe he convinced himself.

Vardian broke through the clouds as they drifted away below him. He wings beat beside him deeply and methodically as he hovered with the toes of his feet dipping in the rolling layer of cloud. The sun was bright up here, and the sky was clear, however slightly darker. The air was terribly thin, and no man could survive at such altitiudes, but Vardian did not breathe air like they did. Nor did dragons.
He closed his eyes, it had taken some time to get up here, and he rested his wings. "Three... Two... One..." Vardian murmured to himself and right on time the dragon broke through the clouds near him. He wheeled in the air to face the mettallic lord. "So what will you do now Lord Lakeith?"

((whoops, I just fogot it was sunset xD oh well))
Tha sun was sinking lower into the sky, but it still brought great warmth. Anything with cold blood would always enjoy the sun's heat.
Lakieth broke through the layers of fog and clouds. He flapped his wings and spoke, answering his question, "I fear that we beasts must wait for the humans to make their move. If they decide they want to be foes with us, then so be it. We will show them it is their wrong doings that cause rivalries. But I feel that what you had mentioned about everyone turning to us will happen sooner than expected. I shall have a word with the humans. If they show no gratitude for talking, then they have made a mistake," he paused and continued " Maybe I shall meet Ceriden. It has been a while since we have crossed paths. Where was Ceriden last seen?"
Lightining struck under his claws. It lit up the whole world beneath them. Above the clouds, above the chaos was a new world (Aladin xDD). THis was what Lakieth found to live for. He lived for life. But he lived for death as well. Everything comes to an end and he must do whatever he can do to create more life and prevent more from being taken sooner...

Vardian looked down briefly at the lightning as it stuck somewhere below the dragon lord. The thunder was instantaneous and it reverberated everywhere through the air. "I last saw Ceriden on the Selkie Shores near the Archipe..." his voice trailed off as he felt something in the back of his senses. A fight was happening somewhere. He could feel it the moment he had said Ceriden's name. She was in danger.
"Ceriden is in danger Lakeith. I must leave you now. It seems she has come to seek you out, she has news for you... questions to ask... and she is in peril. Follow me if you are fast enough."
With that he wheeled in the air and looked down through the hazy cloud cover and closed his eyes... "Ceriden..." There was the feeling again, and it was more focused now. "This way!" At his words his wings swung back for a massive beat and they glowed brightly with a white light. He rocketed off down towards the earth, through the clouds which swirled and parted in his wake and he passed through them far faster than his wings should have anatomically allowed him to move...

[[ooc- okay]]
Lightning cracked again and the skies lit up. He shot forward, wings bashing the air, twirling around like a dance. He pressed them close to his scales and sank lower and lower. He spotted vardian again and continued down through the fog. The lightning struck. The thunder roared. But the sun shone...
