Nala looked at the Vardian, he was true about the coin. It did seem to be a map. Though when he asked to keep, it struck her off guard a little bit, though she realized that it was all logical. Also, Shanette's words struck her too, though she did start to realize how intelligent the beast was.
Nala walked over to Ceriden, "Ceriden, please. Wake up." She whispered gently in her ear. As she scanned her body for injuries that were bleeding, there was nothing serious bleeding on the outside. Though Nala could not help but worry about what happened on the inside.
She stood up, and walked back to the beast. And carefully, and patiently, she wiggled out a scale from his arm. With a quick and exmining glance, she stared at it for a minute, and then but it in the shelth with her arrows.
With quick strides she returned to the gathering. "What are you here for?" Nala asked Shanette, as Nala looked at the skies for the reason of her coming.

Ceriden lay on the sand, its warmth penetrating her aching body in soothing pulses. Her head was throbbing, and before she opened her eyes or moved in anyway, she tested each of her muscles and bones for a tear or break. Meraculously, there was nothing. Feeling slightly better she opened her eyes slowly, taking in her surroundings. She was still on the beach, but now Varidian was here- thankfully. She raised herself into a sitting position, and gritted her teeth to the rush of pain that flooded to her head. For a second, she saw stars, but she ragained her composure. She was sure it was just because she had been lying down for a while. She looked around again, and saw that everyone seemed to be okay. She got to her slightly wobbly feet, and walked over to them.
"Hello everyone. I decided to finally join the living." She smiled, not letting any of her pain show to them. "Did you find something?" She stared curiously at the gold coin they were all holding. It looked kind of like a key or map. "Was that on the beast?" She inquired, eager to know what had happened while she was unconsious.

((Gold... I imagined it as the same metal that made the beast's helmet, but gold... metal... whatever...))
Shannette was just about to answer Nala's question when Ceriden sat up. She spun aroung and knelt down to her close friend. A wide grin was spread across her face. "That was quite an adventure!" Her smile faded almost instantly though as concern flooded her.
"Ceriden, that was a very brave thing to do, but honestly, it was suicide to leap onto that monster's back!" She let out her hand to help Ceriden if she wanted it.
"Yes.... that coin.. well Varidan thinks it is a map.. but a map to what and how to read it, we're not too sure. Now get up and dust yourself off. Any cuts??"

Nala turned to the reliving Ceriden, she could not help but release of thankful sigh. She nodded as the two close friends talked, as she politely zoned herself out of the conversation. Hope dashed through her, as she looked to the skies. Yet there was no dragon king. Maybe this was a bad day, she thought.
Nala returned to the conversation, as they were discussing the coin. "We believe the rubies are islands, yet the lines are nothing that we know of. Vardian was suggested that he take it." Nala commented as she joined in.

Shannette shrugged her shoulders, "If he wishes to take it, I don't mind, but not yet. Dragons are very wise and knowlegable creatures. Perhaps Lord Lakieth will be able to tell us more."
Shannette gestured to Nala, "And, to answer your question, I am here because I offered to bring that." Her hand flew to the sacked helmet next to Ceriden, "But it seems my efforts were rather unnecassay seeing as you have all just slain one."

OOC: Oops, sory, it doesn't have to be gold, I just wasn't thinking about it... ahh, we posted about the same time... Ceriden grabbed Shannette's hand and allowed herself to be pulled up from the sand. "Thanks." She gave her friend a wide grin. She looked at the coin. "I could see that. That one would be Dorsal, because of the triangle cut, and that one could be Cairn; it's more raised than all the others." She shifted her gaze from the coin to Varidian. The angel had arrived in the nick of time. If it wasn't for him, they all might not be here discussing the strange coin. "I agree. I think you shoud take it. You can probably travel the fastest out of all of us, and you can probably make more sence of it than we can." She saw the elf glance at the sky, scanning it in big sweeps. "We may have to move furthur inland to find Lakieth. He probebly is busy and has not noticed our arrival. I do not know you name, elf, but you are welcome to come with us." Her eyes shot to Shannette. "That is, if Shannette is coming with me. I assume so though, otherwise you would not have brought the helm." She gestured to the sack.

Vardian looked over at Ceriden as she regained consciousness and couldn't supress a smile to know that she would be alright. He left Shannette and her to talk and walked back over to where the beast was lying in the sand, the trees broken along a short path and a wake of dirt on the sides. He looked down at the beast's head, realising that its helm was not there. He looked back and saw it a fair way back, over where Ceriden had fought the creature.
He knelt down and looked into the dead beast's eyes. They were already glistening over, and they looked so horribly hollow, the pupils reduced to pinpricks surrounded by a dark, milky iris. It had no lids either, so he pulled the thin scales on its face away from the eye to look at it. "Hollow..." he frowned, talking to himself.
Vardian stood up and walked back over to the other three. "You were looking for the dragon lord, Lakeith I believe. Truth be told I was talking with him not moments before I came here. I flew off in quite a haste, but if he was following me he should be here any second unless he's lost me. And I very much doubt that a dragon could lose anything in its territory..."

"Yes. I too am actually looking for Lakieth. Though if you wish a private conversation with him, I could come again." Nala smiled, she stole another look at the coin. But realized unless there was a hidden coding, it had little value to her. "I am Nala, Lady of the elves. Pardon me for not introducing myself sooner."
Watching the Vardian examine the beast, sparked her interest once again. Just instinctively she made sure the scale was still in her pocket, as she scanned the sky for an sign of Lakieth. Though she remembered her encourter just before with another dragon.

ooc: Haven't we already met? In the forest? Haha
Vardian turned to Nala, "I've already spoken with him about everything I had to. If you seek an audience with him you may do it whenever you please my queen." He looked up to the sky as well, looking for Lakeith.
"I wonder what is keeping the dragon lord," he questioned. The clouds were moving slowly across the sky but he could not make out the dragon at all...

((Im being a bad Rper and is not going to read the posts above this, sorry! lol. I'll make up for it by making a long post ;D ))
Air warped into a swirl as wings designed a tornado of wind, striking back against the flaps of his wings. After the last beat, they pressed against his scales once more to send him down pelting towards the ground, free-falling. Spikes pierced atmosphere as they cut smoothly, guiding him towards landing. Lakeith's shadow slowly decreased in size, a distance growing between him and the sun.
A low groan erupted out of his mouth, sagging down to the land as if it weighed a great amount. The sound waves soared with him, but beat him down, crossing the paths of everyone below the dragon. His wings peeled themselves away from his body, a reaction that has become a habit without him even thinking about it.
His shorter legs unfolded and spread out, preparing for the feeling of the touch of the cool soil. They gripped the earth, his claws, tearing through the dirt like a knife piercing butter. They gripped an released, allowing him to take steps towards the selky, angel, elf and a harana. But what made Lakieth's head tilt was a large creature that layed, dead upon the soil that the dragon stood upon.
He opened his mouth, candidly speaking with words that just flowed out of his mouth. "I have word that natives have fought these creatures," he nodded his head towards the lifeless giant, "in their homeland for many years. Their ability to kill these creatures could possibly be passed down to us. I speak of their knowledge as if they are legends, and with hope, they may agree to aid us." Lakieth paused, continuing again.
"I see you have met one, what happened?" His eyes scanned all of them, taking in their presences. His eyes glinted at the ones he had met before; Ceriden and Vardian. But the other two, a harana and an elf by the looks of it. Why would they all be in his lands? For what purpose would it serve to mingle in the land of the beasts. Were they all willing to help as well? After all, all these lands were joined together and must cooperate.
There were many fallacies in Lakieth's forming plan. The natives could simply refuse to help or they might not even be able to find them. Possible, they might not even exist. For Lakieth has never seen them with his own eyes. The only word to rely on was that of a simple beast of flight, a bird. Crossing the ocean, natives were spotted, attempting to attack one of these "giants". Their skills were indistinct, but by the sound of it, they knew what they were doing. Word of their presence is better than none at all. Lakieth is trusting his follower and has high hopes for them accepting to help. Actually, the humans and beasts of these lands would be doing them a favor in return. However, Lakieth didn't want to go on any further. The rumor may be untrue.
Before anyone could answer his question he added, "Oh and, this word is only a rumor. I haven't seen the natives with my own eyes. I don't want us jumping to conclusions if we have no proof yet." He finished, remembering to be truthful with everyone. Now, if the natives did not exist, they couldn't say he didn't tell them it was not his word of sighting.

Ceriden's head snapped up at the sound of wingbeats, and although they were near silent, her sensative seal ears could pick them up. She was still in human form, but retained many seal characteristics. Lakeiths graceful wings propelled him to the earth, and he landed with a thud next to them. Then, without waiting for any introductions of any sort, he began to speak.
Ceriden stared in surprise at the dragon lord in front of her. It was as if he knew what they were just about to ask. He had summarized exactly what she need to know. If there were people who knew how to fight these giants efficiently, and not with the amount of casualties that Tarantarians had been dealing with, then it was essential to find them.
"Thank you, Lakeith. We were just about to ask what you knew of these creatures, but you seemed to have answerred our question already." She said, her voise still showing the remnants of her earlier surprise.

Vardian could hear the familiar of wings beating in the distance as his eyes darted to the sky, "It seems the dragon lord is upon us." And sure enough the massive dragon fell out of the sky and landed powerfully next to them, talking to them almost the instant he was settled.
"You caught up," Vardian said to the dragon lord in greeting, with a smile. He listened intently to Lakeith's words. He had only met the beast in person not an hour previously, and he already knew to allow a dragon to speak without interruption, even for one such as him.
"A race of ancients with knowledge about these beasts?" Vardian looked back at the dead corpse, and his mind was working incredibly fast. "There were hundreds of races on this world which could be classified as 'Ancients' and I have watched as one by one they have inevitably come into existance and left just as easily. The possibility of one still existing is narrow, but... not impossible." He took a breath and thought about his words. "What is possible is that these creatures, these beasts, are an Ancient themselves. I wouldn't be surprised to tell the truth if that were the case."
"Either way, I need to find where these creatures reside..."

Lakeith nodded to Ceriden. "It seems everyone has been asking the same questions lately." Lakeith paused and continued after he listened to Vardian's words. "There are many creatures upon us that have lived for a very long time, each second floating by as if nothing had ever happened. But think, us dragons have lived for many, many years. We still grow strong, but is it true? Must all things come to an end? Have these natives that possibly exist lived on through the harships just as everyone else? If the news is true, and they can fight off these creatures," again, he nodded to the dead beast, flopped on the ground, "Then they may have found the secret to survival. Do we do this for our survival? Or have do we fight through our lives to carry on our races, and build up a life for others? Myabe these natives, cannot only help us, they can teach us."
Lakeith's eyes scanned everyone elses. The two spheres slipped against the sockets, nearing Ceriden once again. A smile crept up to his face, giving no warning. Lakeith realized he was smiling and spoke, knowing now why he had grinned. "It has been a while since our paths have intersected. It's an honor to be with you here and to hear your say in this as well," he said, keeping his eyes upon Ceriden, but they switched back to everyone else.
"It's also a pleasure to be meeting everyone. Please do share any news or ideas that have passed through to your minds," he said, the smile slipped back into his teeth and he awaited, eager to hear more from their own minds.
